It’s my new website featuring my ideas, designs and anything else I just feel like publishing on the net!

I’ve got off to a good start, but there’s still so much more to do. I’ve built the site because I just love doing what I do. For me it will never be finished.

Witchy’s Magik Designs, my shop for selling my pagan & wiccan designs printed on t-shirts and other great items, is also undergoing a transformation to continue the same feel and theme as Witchy’s Cauldron. There’s lots happening there too with the introduction of the new Infinistitch^TM embroidery process. I’m having fun using new techniques to create designs that work well on these products, but that work equally well in print too. Some great “product reviews & photos” in the pipeline.

I’ve begun to document my Tarot Collection Project on here. A quick overview and a Tarot Gallery of the card images published so far. It’s amazing when you view it as a slideshow on full screen!!! I’d love to make a tarot deck that big, but it maybe a little impractical though.

For my News page, I found just the greatest RSS widget. So far it has only a couple of feeds to it with relevent pagan, wiccan and tarot news articles; but I’m sure I’ll soon be able to fill it up with many more!

I was really pleased with the way this one turned out, because it’s in much more vibrant light shades than I would normally use. I really want to catch the essence of summer in the colours. I hope I’ve achieved that.

Samhain (Halloween) marked the end of the summer, and Céad Shamhain marked the beginning. The Gaelic people celebrated in early May, enjoying the company of neighbours they might not have seen over the winter. There would be bonfires and all night celebrations before the time when farmers would be busy planting their crops, and herdsmen would need to drive the flocks to pasture.

In modern times, pagans & wiccans celebrate Beltaine on May 1st as the second of the spring sabbats. (The first spring sabbat, Imbolc, in early February, is a time for looking forward with hope to spring).

When Beltaine arrives, one can actually see life renewing itself. Signs of spring are all around. Flowers and trees are budding. The weather is warmer. The days are longer and the air smells of new growth. All of our senses are telling us that winter has ended.

Although traditions and interpretations vary among the various pagan & wiccan faiths, Beltaine is usually seen as a fertility festival. People celebrate to bring fertility to their lands so that their crops will grow well and be abundant, and to their animals so that they will reproduce and thrive. It can also be seen as a time to celebrate to bring fertility to your hopes and dreams.

Some pagans & wiccans see this as a time to fertilize their dreams by taking action to move themselves closer to their goals. Pagans may make lists of things they hope to accomplish in the upcoming summer.

Many countries have a national holiday on May 1^st (May Day), but most people do not realise they are in fact recognising a pagan festival by marking this day.

Today I have produced a lens, which I am hoping will raise money to help wolves and other environmental issues.

Today I’m blogging to take it all back, and NO, they haven’t threatened to take my lens and send it into orbit around Jupiter!

Today I log in (much quicker than before), and start making a new lens…Hey Presto it’s all working fine!

Then I see this . Glad you got it all sorted Squidoo….now I shall make many more!

The whole concept of an eCrater storefront, for those that want to start an online shop, is very interesting!

For me it was quite an eye opener, because I’ve often thought what if I wanted to produce a piece of art or a design and place it on something myself, how would I go about distributing that. A little storefront like this could probably benefit many artists wanting to sell online, without having to resort to the dreaded ebay. Although you would have to market the store yourself, but that can become part of the fun (or is it frustration???) too.

The one issue I have with it though is that it’s painfully slow to use, and is supposed to be for anyone regardless of HTML experience etc. I’ve set up two cafepress shops and my own little website. The squidoo lens is by far the most frustrating out of all of them. The “workshop” area seems to have a mind of its own. So be warned build one but you’ll need the patience of a saint in the process!
